@basgambler1211 he's a better songwriter than george, and he's fightin alot more than strait ever had to,, george came in on the skirts of waylon and kris who had already broke the locks off in nashville, and it wasnt hard to have someone write many many songs and have em thrown on the album,, one of straits biggest hits was brushed under the rug until he started doin it live,, amarillo???

You're right, Jamey and George can't be compared. Their style is so different from one another. I am a HUGE George Straight fan and love him singing Give It Away. With that being said, I have seen Jamey Johnson sing Give It Away live. I thought I would never say it, but Jamey does blow George off the stage on that one. He should though, he wrote the song. He sings it from the heart because he actually lived it. Jamey slows it way down and puts soul in it. It can't beat it!

Jamey Johnson is good, enjoy his music, but that that attorney is an idiot, you can't compare Jamey Johnson to George Strait. He has a lot more work to do before you can start making statements like that.
