Mel Gibson is the greatest figure in the history of post-late 70's cinema in the English-speaking world in Australia and the US and Belize.

I recall watching this many times on the ABC and was always thrilled by the 3 minute scene on the ship and wondered, bitterly, why they couldn't have added a follow up scene where they resolve the plot! The idea of the computer micro-scan of the ship went into my writer's vocabularly forever more, too! I wish they'd made a series of this premise with Mel in the lead! So many years later, the set looks alarmingly dated, but the dialog is still intriguing. Great to see it again!

Blimey, this makes "Phoenix Five" look like Star Wars ! I've seen clips of this but wondered what they were from as I never saw it at the time, thanks for that. Now, if only you had "Andra"....
