I was watching when it happened..."live"...
I recall staying up that night, to see the rebroadcast of the show (for the west coasters) and I waited
the entire show for her to perform her 2nd song...again...so I could make sure that what I saw....really happened.
...but to no avail. They moved quickly to remove the 'infamous incident'...& it hasn't been rebroadcast on NBC since.
...all those years ago.
...Now, several years later, this part of history has made it's way back to me, full circle...& it has slammed down upon me like a 20,000 ton brick.
If I only knew then...what I know now...
The imagery is intense...as she sings, the lyrics of Marley live on....ever true to their purpose.
