the school i trained at for a little while in australia was totally gay friendly. it was in a gay community and whatever and was really supportive of the community. it even had a gay pride flag sticker on the front door. every friday night, a local gay wrestling club would use the gyms facilities. its called boxing works in darlinghurst, sydney.

gay people are not the only ones with rights. imagine if there was a girl's wrestling class and there was one guy in the class. wouldn't you assume that he's only there for the girls? that'd be creepy and suspicious. he'd get threatened by their boyfriends, or kicked out. that's because the possibility of a sexual attraction destroys the morale of the whole group in martial arts. there are manyof moves in jiu jitsu that are suggestive, so a gay in the class would make everyone feel uncomfortable

Jui-Jistu is not a gay sport. If you actually watch the fights, or participate in any school. The sport is rough, When one person gets the other person in a arm-bar, rear naked choke, or any hold, Look closely at the person who is getting beaten look at the face. I guarrentee that u will see nothing but pain, not excitment, not enjoyment, Just pain. So come on people Open your eyes and let the gay, straight, or bi people join jui-jistue gyms.

It's appaling to hear about this shit. What kind of martial arts schooldiscriminates like this?? If a person is gay, it's none of their fucking business! Jijitsu is for people that need to defend themselves, first and foremost. Gay people fit nicely into that category. North Carolina... What are they stuck in the 50ths?

I'm not gay but who cares. I have known gay wrestlers and also gay bjj guys. There people that enjoy the sport. I doubt they get boners will trying to submit somebody or when there getting there ass-beat no pun intended. I think sometimes the straight guys act more gay around each other then gay guys do.
