OK:This was Brook's last top 40 song on the Billboards Charts, topping out at #4 in 1970. In 1961, The Boll Weevil Song made it to #2, and was #1 on the Adult Contemporary Charts. His first hit, "It's Just Matter Of Time" in 1959, #3 Billboards and #1 on the R&B charts for 9weeks. One of my favoites by Brook Was "Shadrack"( from the Bible). I still have that on 45rpm.Came out in 1962; #19 on the Billboards Charts. For more of Brook's songs google Brook Benton Wiki.

Actually, the best version of this song - done by Brook Benton - had the sound of a harmonica playing in it. It kind of gave the listener the sense that Mr. Benton was sitting in that boxcar, in the rain, singing, and playing that harmonica...truly moving!
