FINAL VIDEO - Grey dod 250 clone build and sound test

just plugged my clone into a DI box into a mixer into a soundcard..no amp to colour sound.clearly choice of mic and speaker will affect sound too..
Trivia..Many say this is the best dod250 of all and is the one most preferred by yngwie malmsteen..His signature yjm308 is not an exact copy of this..thats why many build these as buying vintage ones are very expensive.
Since I started building Ive changed setups so I wont actually be using this now..oh well ..I felt I had to finish the project..

@infectionsman most are ceramic..there was one electrolytic...

schematics abound on the internet...go to generalguitargadgets (dot) com and do a search on dod 250....

Wow dude that was awesome natural minor scale. I like this pedal it has more of an overdrive pedal tone with a lot of low mids. I own an mxr distortion plus clone which has an identical circuit but the dod 250 is definetely cool. It sounds like you are using a 4558 dual opamp or is it a 741 ic

hi yes this useing the 741...i was basically trying to build malmsteens favourite..yeah mxr great..they all are to me the overdrives...im not so picky these days.
