  • excellent shot. im not sure what the argument here is about. anyways, hungarian MIDDLE AGE bow is nonsense. there is only traditional hungarian bow which is like 5000 years old, or? sorry for the stupid question, i just started looking into this.

  • its the name of the bow made by grozer

hungarian bows dont usually have a string bridge either its a modern hybrid bow of mongolian/chinese/hungarian design

  • he said 70-80 yards away and there is now way in hell that is true, with an eighty lb bow, i am pretty sure the arch of the arrow wouldn't be that high. I have a 50lb martin and my bow has a flatter tajectory than your bow does

  • do you shoot 1/2" 32" long medieval war arrows weighing 60grams from your bow ?

because this is what the chap is shooting here.

  • The arrows he shoots would make 2 or 3 of the arrows you shoot. The weight, length, sectional density of an actual fighting arrow are entirely different from a modern short range hunting and hobby bow. Your Martin and it's light skinny arrows would have been considered a child's plaything 500+ years ago

  • i find flax makes a good string lasts along time and has a good shot on it

  • the same as a modern string, but using the flamish twist technique.

you may also be interested to know that linendoesn't stretch either and has good cast.

and is simular to fastflight in being able to keep its brace hight.

but as i said has a limited life on the bow and needs regular maintenance care.

  • ive used linen string on a bow of 110# it was a beautiful string to shoot, but had a limited life on the bow.

  • they used long bows because of the power and lenght they could shoot plus here in the uk its very hilly so shooting arrows off the top of some of the hills you can imagine the distance they could shoot from

  • largely working horses, very few bred for speed agility and war usage
