Here's the like final moments in Xena. Lucy says a few words and then there are a few kind of flashbacks. It's from the extra "Xena Warrior Princess, A Friend In Need B Roll", so this isn't made by me. It's from the DVD extras.

Good question. Maybe they wanted to be sure that the fans wouldn't try to get another season. But I think that they could make a movie from it. I would love it! And of course the same main characters. ;)

@buffypii i think xena isnot the main character, its gabrielle. But as one could see, there is a place they go where there is a way to revive the dead, Egypt, as i like to go there too ;(

they should have made a epilogue, the ending is vague for all the other characters

Both Xena and Gabrielle died multiple times in the series.

Xena isn't gone forever. Gabrielle will return to bring her back-

due to some type of visitation (like Marcus visited Xena) or because

a god told her to, or because of some situation that only Xena could

help with.

Everytime I see the end of the final episode my heart clenches and I want to cry. I've seen it many many times and I still get the same strong reaction everytime. I wish they hadn't killed her and instead ended it on a happy note.

well as sad as this is to say, they wouldn't be able to make the Xena series start from where they left because Aries is dead!:'( for those who don't know, Aries died in 2002:'(

I remember crying like crazy watching the last 2 minutes of it. This was my teenage years...great memories of the show!

The fact of Xena dying in the final episode wasn't what enraged the fans for the most part...it was having her die for a stupid reason (to get to Yodoshi, when we knew that earlier she had "died" to get to Mephistopheles), having her remain dead for an even stupider one, for listening to Akemi over Gabrielle, with the result that Gabrielle was left alone in the world. Oh, and Rob Tapert a few months earlier saying he wasn't going to kill them (X&G) again.

Xena only *thought* that the spirits of Higuchi would never find peace if she was returned to life because Akemi told her so...and (how convenient!) the two people who might have said that Akemi was wrong had just been killed off.

Also, Akemi insisted on spending the valuable time to give Gabrielle that ginormous tattoo, which delayed Gab from getting Xena's body, burning it, and dumping the ashes in the fountain, LONG before Yodoshi could have shown up to make that tat useful.
