LYRICS:
Tell me what do you see
when you looking at me
(whoa-Woah)
Somethin noticeably
in the pock' of my jeans
(whoa-Woah)
Got a clear, exposed wire that runs
from my pants all the way up to my gut
(What is that from?)
Ya'll should know my boy L.W. is diabetic
And that he's got a pump
He gotta pump (repeat)
L.W.
Really what do you see
When you lookin at me
Got it when I was ten
Called it diabetes
I done went to the doctor
Told me what I had got
And since that day I've been
a diabetic takin' shots
until that day in '07
when I said nuff is enough
tired of eatin' and stabbin'
Ima go get me a pump
one that will give me a constant
Drip of this insulin stuff
My doc told me bout Medtronic, so I called em up
Since then its been smooth sailin'
Like I was on a boat
When I learned how to bolus,
my high numbers got low
Now I eat when I wanna
Got me better control
If ya still don't believe
My A1c's a 6.4
That means no blindness for me
And I got healthy kidneys
Monitor BG closely
Then you keep both of your feet
But it don't take someone from Mensa, to know finger sticks have been a
Struggle so I got somethin better, now I be packin' a sensor
Tell me what do you see
when you looking at me
(whoa-Woah)
Somethin noticeably
in the pock' of my jeans
(whoa-Woah)
Got a clear, exposed wire that runs
from my pants all the way up to my gut
(What is that from?)
Ya'll should know my boy L.W. is diabetic
And that he's got a pump
He gotta pump (repeat)]
L.W.
Although some just don't want it, ya'll should know that I love it
The pump, it ain't so bad, now don't be too quickly to judge it
I remember a time, when it was normal in life
Eatin my food on a schedule
That's how my plan was designed
Trying to fit all my carbs
Into one shot, it was hard
And takin so many per day
was leaving my stomach with scars
Now that I got me a pump
I eat whenever I want
And givin' insulin's easy, cause it calculates how much
Add on a sensor, and then it
Graphs all your sugars so you can
See when you go low or high and then you can easily fix it
That's my life with Medtronic
Bein' bionic's a bonus
Hey, 'cause of diabetes
I got more fans than Nick Jonas
Got more three's than Adam [Morrison]
Got more touchdowns than [Jay] Cutler
But when it comes to [Wilford] Brimley
the world won't see another
Just got one thing to tell ya, before this song is done
Throw up ya pump if you's a type one son!
Now here's where I'm gonna talk
About our way to the top
Of diabetes youtube fame
We put the video up
And our rap took off
Now Camp Needlepoint knows our name
Still looking
for a cure
for the beetis
that's for sure
But until that day comes when there's none of us left
We'll be around like JDRF
He gotta pump (repeat)
they aren't half bad. everyone likes them differently

@justjessy16 I wear it when my sugar is out of whack, otherwise it kinda gets in the way during sports and stuff
