This isn't a near miss.... this is a near-hit.. A collision is a near miss -_-. *collision* Oh look, they nearly missed.. but not quite!!. - George Carlin

@jakeday1998 Not pawned all, gamer boy. That aircraft is a vintage World War II aircraft called the PBY Catalina. In this movie it was being used as a water bomber. Just because a plane gets converted to water bombing doesn't change it's name or model. So take your feeble little "pwnd" brain to a library and do some research before you waive your ignorance all over the Internet.

@MegaBadOFFICAL The real world disagrees with you. However, that's beside the point. The fact remains that this video is a copy from the movie "Always" and in that movie, the Catalina was a water bomber. So what's your point?
-
@Xissrfo The short catalina wasn't used as a water bomber

Why are they fishing in the middle of the lake? Are there any fish out there?

actually I think this is a clip form the tv show Beachcombers filmed on Vancouver Island.

I know this was a scene from a movie. But damn, that would screw up a fishing trip to look back and see a big old PBY coming toward you. Skilled hands at the controls of this one. Lifted and crossed what?, ten feet above the boat? Good job.

@jakeday1998 Many of the PBY Catalina's were converted to fire fighting service as water bombers. Because of their size to load capabilities, stability and reliability they lent themselves well to such duties. The PBY is a good old plane and still serves vital roles where in use.

First of all, this isn't CGI, it was real. Secondly, it's a stunt from the Richard Dreyfuss movie Always. This was the water bomber being flown by John Goodman's character.
