  • ooalibaba: A Hawaiian H&H race is a grueling trail ride. Usually having 2 gas stops, sometimes 3. There are different ways to start but generally everyone starts at the same time. Much of the trail is single track. Many races have a 10% or lower finish rate. First rider out usualy in 3hour+ range. Last finishers in 8 hour range. There are "checks" throughout the course that you must collect and turn in at the finish. First rider out with all checks wins.

  • Check out Dirt Rider mag, I think Feb 2009 or Mar 2009, something like that. Jimmy Lewis got to ride that Kauai Hare & Hound and gives a good account plus much respect. All I can say is, I'm humbled by the experience when I did one. Not only is it challenging and frustratingly fun, it's beautiful to ride Hawaii. Much Aloha! Can't wait for the full movie if thats your intent.

  • Mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love it, great edit, great music, makes for a great video, can watch it over and over, awsome job!!!!

  • digipoi: No disrespect Jimmy's a fine rider but entering the trials was a bit of a joke on the KTM. Even World Champ Toni Bou wouldn't be able to ride the sections on a bike like that. Trials is too specialized.

  • This man knows what he's talkin' bout. Trust me.

  • Great action, something for everyone who rides dirtbikes.

    Nice!!

  • yep, read that one end-to-end. sweet, sweet, sweet!

  • Thats sweet! Whats cool is he did the KTM test and entered all three races with the same bike including the trials! Minimal adjustments from what he said. Its not just the bike though, its the rider. haha!

  • Jimmy at 1:00

  • well said
