Expect a lot of unrecorded matches from me at the moment. Pokémon Platinum has been released in North America, though since the DS is region-free, what's more important is that the game has been released in the English language. That means PBR gamers all over are probably taking advantage of the Move Tutors right now. It's going to dramatically change up the game, and I'll be doing a lot of practice to figure out what's popular in the Platinum scene.

This match, apparently, is not one of those Platinum-infused teams. While it ends in an unfortunate disconnect (and it's more likely an intentional disconnect), I would still call it a win for myself, as I got rid of Electivire and Magmortar without losing any of my Pokémon.

I used Manectric, Rampardos, and Crawdaunt (unseen). My opponent used Magmortar, Electivire, and a third Pokémon hidden from me.

  • How come Rampardos gets the first move against Electivire?

  • @T0SHI045 Rampardos is carrying a Choice Scarf.

  • if i trade a magmortar with magmizare (i think thats how u spell it) into PBR will it evolve??? same with electabuzz

  • @popoyuo1 No, because PBR only copies the Pokémon onto the game. There is no trading taking place.

  • Ignore that Earthquake comment. I should really watch videos all the way through before commenting.

  • I'm sort of surprised your opponent didn't switch to Electivire after that first Thunderbolt. It would have activated Motor Drive and prevented damage. Probably wouldn't have made much of a difference in the long run, but at least it would have prevented a bit of damage and saved Magmortar. And can't Electivire learn Earthquake?

Good match! It's a shame your opponent didn't see it through to the end, or at least properly forfeit. =) Assuming it was intentional and not just coincidence.
