While figuring out how best to play this, I thought: OK, same note repeated over and over again + look where my piano stand sticks out = Hmmmmmmmm. I also decided to add in the "Briefing" and "Store" tracks. btw, I beat this game on Gamer Mode on my 3rd try, so I feel ultra-qualified to be posting this.

Original music from the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz7N5sc2xWc

mp3: http://www.zshare.net/audio/52948440f2c498d5/
Video: http://www.badongo.com/vid/963556
sheet music: http://www.zshare.net/download/57476617929b5a16/

Fun fact: For 2-3 weeks, I didn't cut the fingernail on my right thumb, to help me reach the note at 0:06. It ranges from B to C#.

This game has GREAT music. Eventually I'll probably end up doing every track from it. I'm wrote out the sheet music on my own. To do this fairly easily for any SNES game, first download the .spc file. This is the original game music file extracted from the SNES cartridge. Then convert to a .midi file, using "spc2midi", found at http://www.zophar.net/utilities/converters.html. Finally, use common sheet music software (I use Notation Composer) to view it. All the notes are usually correct, but the assigned note lengths/values are total garbage. So I just made a new version, using the SPC version as a guide.

  • ok 1st and foremost I just wanna say OMG! now that thats outta the way I would like to continue by saying you sir have done this melody justice! I abso-fucking-lutely love U.N. Squadron and everything that goes with it, with the soudtrack being number 1 on that list. I've never seen anyone do what you just did. This vid will be Fav'd for eternity (or atleast for as long as you keep it up ^^) my only regret is that I cannot give you more than 5 stars as this is clearly worth 10 times that.

  • thanks very much, sir. lol. I'll try to get Enemy Airforce up in 1-2 days.

  • can you try to do the Aerial Fight music? :O or the water... or the jungle... OMG U.N Squadron smuic is so good

  • heh, i've tried the aerial fight boss music. To do it accurately, it'll probably be the hardest 20 seconds of music I've ever played. Hopefully i'll have Front Line Base done this week, then start on that combined with Enemy Airforce. Thanks for listening!

  • awesome, I can't wait to see you cover some of the other U.N Squadron music, so many good tracks in this game

  • haha, i just started writing down Front Line Base about 5 minutes ago

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • This is epic dude, keep it up

  • A leg cramp would be a huge disaster.

  • marvelous )

  • You should do some songs from Gradius III. Its has some great music as well, although the U.N. Squadron Intro is still the most epic IMO.

  • for a few seconds there i thought that had to be somebody else's leg. but then I saw otherwise. you went for good pianist, to virtuoso. just like that

  • beautiful. i love it!

  • Does anyone else think that the 'Briefing' tune sounds like Chocolate Rain?

    Great work btw.

  • I think I speak for EVERYONE who grew up with this game when I say;

    Thank you. :)

  • exelente. lo maximo saludos desde peru
