All the usual old music faces trotted out, who cares? U.K. government agencies should care. Cambridge tech. graduates are one thing, they have the technical abilities -BUT not the time. Who has the time and abilities - Gary and all the many other Autistic geek able guys in this U.K. Hire them (well ,on short term contracts) Pay them to work - who else is going to sit at a P.C. 48hrs at a stretch - see the results. Lovely land and for the most part lovely people. Their government system is many times as you describe - but hey, who did their politico's and agencies, lobbyists learn their nefarious trades off - Good ol' U.K. here - a bit of old Germany also. The U.S. was built upon European tech brains - still is to a certain extent. Ripping off 3rd world assets - how do you think the British Empire existed ? Or the Romans for that matter.

@SuzLa1 10 months late but better than never for a response :) I take your points completely, BUT, do you know of many U.K. politico's (MP's) who know their way around computers? Beyond loading up their hoilday photo's or struggling with emails ? Or the older generations too. Our politico's are dinosaurs - that is why we lost the potential we had. There are many Gary M's here - Autism can be a gift sometimes - we were about to throw this guy away ?!

Looks like our government could use a few tips on security in the systems. Employ the guy, don't punish him. He gave you a wake up call, but you gotta be poor sports about it. Wow....this video brought tears to my eyes. After hearing other info about Gary, it made me happy to see that he is not always being left alone in a dark corner to be picked at by tyrannical governments. Its inspiring to see a musician i have admired for many years get behind Gary to help spread the message. YOU ARE NOT ALONE GARY!
