Apollon is perhaps the premier Knabstrupper stallion in the world. With him came world-wide recognition for this rare Danish breed of warmblood horse with the wild spots. Though now deceased, there is still a very limited supply of frozen semen left at www.sonestafarms.com

Am i right that Hamlet Frydenlund - one of Apollons prodgeny died Jan 09 of a cardiac problem as well? My mare is by Hamlet and her grand sire is Apollon, above. Both wonderful horses to be proud of. condolences xxx

@appaloosagirl It is true that Hamlet has died. It was on January 19, but I am not certain of the cause of death. He was 18 and lived a good life.

Thankyou - they were both wonderful horses. Did you own Apollon, and Hamlet? I was unter the impression it was centryfields stud? Apollogies i am not 'in the know' i would just love to know a bit more about my horses family :o) Thankyou for getting back to me so soon x

@appaloosagirl I did not own either of them. Gwen Gregorio of Germany owned Apollon and then he was leased for a couple of years by Liz Hall in America. Hamlet was owned by Centyfield stud. We bought the first Apollon semen frozen for use in N. America. I do still have a few doses left.

He was quite old. His heart just gave out one day.
