On Tuesday, September 1, the Baltimore County Council held a work session to entertain legislation for speed cameras. The bill, at present, allows speed cameras anywhere within a half-mile radius of a school in the County. Towson resident Steve Kolbe weighs in on the county's public assertion that the speed cameras will be limited to twelve, positioned directly near schools and contends that the bill does not reconcile with what the County is saying. Kolbe continues to discuss the degradation of personal freedoms and public safety matters associated with the implementation of a broad reaching speed camera program.
