  • And the most important thing is that the singers seem having fun on stage! And that's absolutely what matters to involve public into that energy too... Maria :) ***

  • Exactly! I could not agree more...:)

  • This is just another idiotic production that instead of enhancing the idea of the libretto and helping the singers to do their best as singers and actors presents a string of unrelated scenes that are not only distracting but just simply stupid. Some snobs (who happen to never be professional singers) say that this type of trash will save opera from oblivion; sorry, opera has survived without this garbage for over 300 years already.

  • Well i think it's better for opera's survival if you take these things less seriously, as Haydn certainly took it when he wrote Il mondo della luna...and i think in this particular production (if u seen it all) the singers really do their best as actors and singers...

  • I love Martinez (her Zebinetta is brilliant), but this is just absurd. She sounds okay, and I suspect would sound better and more accurate if she didn't have to jump around doing the boogie woogie while negotiating elaborate high coloratura!

  • I think it's a lot of fun, just what this piece needed...and she jumps around like a real pro! :)
