Baby red foot tortoise. :} I couldn't resist after watching it in its enclosure so I took him out to gawk at him or her. Super cute! Tortoise arrived and was filmed on 4/15/2009, at a little over a month old. In the background I was playing "dyer maker" by led zeppelin but apparently it's against the youtube law to play music so my video got muted. e_e

Will the cherry red headed tortoise get smaller in adult lenght than a regular? if so how big is the cherry headed tortoise's adult length?

does anybody now where i can get a box turtle i went to the all ohio reptile show but the didnt have them there so im goin on the 18th to the cleveland one to see if they have them there i want a redfoot but they seem difficult and exspeensive to care for are they?

@turtleman124 It's expensive to set up their enclosure... the heat lamps, moisture resisting substrate, and I think the UVB lights are the most expensive thing, especially since you need to keep buying new bulbs after a while. Once you have the setup ready it's not that bad, and redfoots are pretty hardy :) I don't know much about box turtles though

lol i have a baby red foot that hatched on april 2. but i bought it from a breeder so didnt see it. hey ur name isnt ted thompson is it?

Yours is a cherry redfoot, which is cuter and smaller size than a regular redfoot.

Really? O.O Is that because of the colorings? I was told by the breeder that he was a regular redfoot, just really colorful.
