Some footage of the Thursday Practice session at the 2010 Relentless International Northwest 200 motorcycle road race (shot May 13th, 2010). The video begins with a look at the start grid for 125cc practice, then the start of the Superbike practice. Weather conditions were difficult but led to only minor disruptions. The video location was around the start/finish area to York Corner in Portstewart, and was shot only minutes before Steve Plater's serious crash at Quarry Hill, just around the corner from where we were videoing. Plater, riding a Honda, was one of the favourites to win, however he came unstuck on the coast road. He was taken immediately to hospital in Coleraine and luckily walked away with nothing more than a broken wrist.

  • incredible to actually be at one of these races, we dont have anything like the Northwest or the Isle of Man TT here in the Pacific NortheWest. Must be great going to a real Pub afterwards. I am jealous in so many ways.

  • @DrMucker come to the northwest next year and experience it!! thanks for the comment.
