Yeah, we all know that red is dead, so I made a tribute video for him,

(which is strange because I'm a lakers fan)

@rdsxn2434 Phil Jackson never picked players in the draft like Red Auerbach did, Auerbach made the Celtics from the 80's in 3 days, he just picked Larry Bird number 6 of 1979 NBA draft when everybody was saying that guy couldn't run, couldn't jump, etc. then he just got Robert Parish from the Warriors and number 2 pick to get Kevin McHale. Auerbach made the best constructed teams in NBA history, 1960's, 1973 Celtics, 1986 Celtics. The Lakers got better talent but the Celtics were better teams.

Red won his 9th ring as coach at age 48 his last year coaching and has 16 rings 9 as coach and 7 as G.M. or Celtics team President. The NBA Coach of the Year award is named "The Red Auerbach Trophy" for a reason!

phil did it with salary caps.when red was winnign you could jus load your team full of talent with no cap issues.
