High in the mountains of Nangchen region of Western Kham are small villages of illerate nomadic yak herders and subsistence farmers. Leaders approached the president of Munsel Foundation, Khenpo Gawang and asked him to build a school for their children.
The boarding school was built in Jyekundo and provides education for 15 students with another 20 students arriving in the spring of 2008.
Now we need you help to keep the school going. Please donate and provide a future for these children and there families.

the common tibetans must take advantage of the free education for all and the education system in New Tibet. in old tibet, there were no education system except for the monastic system and the elite aristocrats who had the previlidge to go to boarding schools in India, Swiss, or U.K.

the parents need to send their kids to school to get an education instead of keeping them at home to help out. its a dillema because most of these nomads need a helping hand at home and keep their kids away from school. also, since the schools are far away from these remote nomadic areas, the parents can not afford the boarding expenses, although the education tuition is free subsidy of the gvt. so, it is good to sponsor these nomad kids boarding school espense.
