How to Set Up the Mac Dazzle Capture Card and Troubleshooting tips

PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NO EXPERT AT THIS. I don't work for pinnacle or anything. I just found a setup that works perfect for me and put this video on to show how I set mine up. I can't answer every question you have because I don't always have the answer. So if you ask me a question and I don't respond right away, its either because I don't have the time or don't have the answer. Thanks.

This is a step by step tutorial on how to install the Dazzle for the mac. ***troubleshooting tips at end of video***

What you will need:
Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac: about $90 on amazon.com
installation CD: comes with the Dazzle
RCA A/V cable with PLUGS ON BOTH ENDS: about $10 at Radioshack

Once the video has been captured, it will automatically be sent to itunes. From there, you can watch the video on your ipod and/or drag it from itunes and into imovie, allowing you to edit, compress, and upload your video to youtube. And yes, THE VIDEO CAPTURED WITH THE DAZZLE IS IMOVIE COMPATIBLE, no file type converting required.

Note: This setup is if your TV has output jacks. If it does not, there is an alternate setup that involves splitters and there are multiple videos on youtube showing this method.

@obrijo557 That's a good question. And honestly, I'm not totally sure of the answer. You might be able to get the actual capture card to work, but I'm 95% sure that the software for the mac won't work on a PC.

Does the pc dazzle work on mac? I've just gotten my dazzle dvc103 and tried to install the cd with the dazzle connected, but it said no dazzle discovered, any idea?

I bought this product for my Macbook Pro to record gameplay off my Xbox 360. I've correctly set it up but when I try to open the program, It says: Pinnacle Video Capture could not be opened because there is no Pinnacle Dazzle connected. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? I'm really stuck and can't find much help on the internet about it.
