This could be lense flare.But i dont usually get lens flare that size or at night.Iv lots of pics of the moon,and have never caught this effect before.It wasnt there the night before,thats for sure.Ill let you decide.

  • I took some photos of the moon about 4 days ago on my mobile phone, outside in the garden ( no glass or window reflection) . Thought nothing of it.. Just watched yr video... Took another look at photos and i see something!! Photos taken in Norfolk UK.

  • @kidjr27 I just thought the blue thing was a reflection at first as the clouds go behind it at the very beggining.I must be misdsing something

  • How odd, the first thing that came to mind was George Luca's Deathstar... not jumping to conclusions, but you definately have something anamalous in those pics. "Stealth Deathstar"? some sort of artificat from your camera or maybe what some say we live in a Holographic universe, and hence could even be a leftover graphical corruption left in the background of what we can see and what we can't... so many theorie, still it's interesting that you actuallly seem to have evidence of something?

  • Googled Upsilon Aurigae (υ Aur, υ Aurigae) is a star in the constellation Auriga. Upsilon Aurigae is a M-type red giant with an apparent magnitude of +4.72. ..

  • On Google sky it does show a planet in that area and if you put in 2011 and choose

    υ Aurigae from the drop down list the same thing comes up as whats showing when just putting in moon.

  • um thats no flare or ghost image

  • This explains why the moon is now upside down!, as well as all of the huge earthquakes in the past week or so
