Mohamed has achieved the silver medal in the Olympic games held in Athens 2004. He qualified to the men's super heavy weight (+91kg) final bout after winning over the Cuban Michel Lopez Nunez by points (18 - 16). He could not, however, show up to the final fight due to an injury to the right shoulder leaving the first place to the Russian champion Alexander Povetkin.
