Royal Elk Challenge

While visiting Yellowstone Park on Oct 1, we encountered this Bull Elk. He was very aggresive and protective of his harem of cow elk.

There's a drive-thru petting/feeding zoo near my house and they had some bull elk. Those things are HUGE. It was almost as tall as our van at the shoulders and it's head was way taller. I fed them of course. But one of them was just standing there and let me pet him. Amazing life experience.

Its amazing that these animals have such thick necks and can make a sound so high pitched. They have such big body's and such SKINNY legs. Beautiful animals.

Neat I had no clue a deer like animal could make a noise like that I thought they sounded like deer lol prooved me wrong I have never seen an elk in my life but this is so awsome also it had some nice horns on it

I live in NW Montana, and it used to be a pretty regular thing to hear an elk bugle like this in the fall. But since the greenies shoved these wolves down our throats and they're now overpopulated, elk are getting more and more rare in these parts. A great big thanks to all the bunny huggers out there!!!!!!!!! Down with wolves!!!!! Long live the elk!!!!!!!
