@Sh8amer i think people dont like 4 because it was nothing like the other 3 and originally it wasnt supposed to be a silent hill game but its still a great game silent hill or not :D

Still, Silent Hill paved and illuminated the path for all other disturbing survival horror. Nothing to this date, scares the shit out of me like SH 1. Horror games seem to have reverted back to the "boo" element. More about the surprise scares, than about the overall oppressive environment and atmosphere... Thats what set SH1 apart from the others, like RE,RE2, and the 3rd one. I was scared just leaving a note pad....

@Domojw5 Somewhat agree... Silent Hill 1 was, the only word i can think of is, disturbing. I got that same kind of feeling from SIlent Hill 2, although diminished. Like I'd been there before...
