  • @Cutter001 NYU4OWS has repeatedly invited professors and students from Stern to participate in our events, including in a formal debate. They express their dedication to the free market of ideas by ignoring us. Please get in touch if you would like to participate. We'll be sure to include in the rules a provision allowing nonsensical scare quotes.

  • As for inviting Professors, maybe they are ignoring you because they don't agree with you? Is that wrong? should they not be able to decide how to best utilize their rights and freedoms? are they not the 99% you claim to represent? This is the fundamental flaw of ows, in my opinion, you represent only those who agree with you and those that do not are the "enemy". That is why you're "movement" has struggled, because you don't really represent the 99%, only those who agree (proably 36-40%)

  • Interesting how anyone who points out the flaws in this vid or it's description is using "nonsensical scare quotes" although I didn't quote anyone or state anything "nonsensical" other than comment on the content of this video (ie; it is NOT finance professors trying to educate on the "evils" of the financial system) Is that what ows is about? attack those who disagree? what happened to free speech? or is mine limited cause I discussed flaws with the conceptual underpinnings of this vid?

  • This looks like an epic fail. With all due respect, a professor of "art" and public policy and an assistant professor from the Gallatin school "educating" on the evils of economic systems and finance?? How about a professor from Stern who actually teaches this stuff? There's actually more people hitting up the food carts behind you than "participating" in your rally. There's your education in financial systems....offer the people something they want and they will listen to you.
