i am a 29 year old lesbian and i came out at the age of 18. this trend you are noticing is no where near new. they called it an epidemic when i came out 11 years ago. so this, dear heart, is truly not an epidemic. the epidemic, however, is young teenage pregnancies. 90 girls pregnant and the same highschool is the course of 1 school year. this "young lesbian epidemic" that you are noticing.......IS THE CURE for the real epidemic.......TEENAGE PREGNANCIES.

I see lesbians that are pregnant what are you talking about. And if you can use epidemic when referring to teenage pregnancy then I can use epidemic when it comes to lesbians.

Who cares? Everyone is trying to psychoanalyze all of this, and the psychoanalysis is completely unnecessary. If you are gay, you're gay. If you're straight, you're straight. If you're bi, you're bi. NONE OF IT IS ANY ONE ELSES BUSINESS. You're allowed to love anyone you want, and that is between God and yourself. Everyone puts way too much attention of everyone else's lives. Just live your life. Staying strong to your beliefs is completely fine, just be civil and let others do the same.

Just like you just gave your opinion I can give mine. It is public business when you do things in the public. If you do not want anyone to speak on your business then keep it to yourself. If people need to mind their own business then why are you commenting on this vid. Take the advice that you give. You sound like you are young . Live a bit longer.

Just sayin, there's not a huge epidemic. I can tell you that I have never ever seen lesbians together in public. I've been all across my state, and haven't seen anything. It's not really a problem. I guess you should take your advice as well. LIVE. Who cares if others are lesbians? You go find someone you love, if you haven't already, and just live your life

Well I have seen lesbians. You say who cares you do not have to care to have a discussion. And by the way I do take my own advice but it seems like you have a problem with others asking questions.

@FJ,Luv,my freind has no boundaries..ur response is a very "logical" one.Love is not as "logical" as u Think.Love is an energy.I am energy manifested in this 3 dimensional form as Woman.Unlike u,I can speak factually (frm experince)as i have expereinced love for both sexes- b4 b/c we are spirits before we are gender &the mechanics(social or otherwise)that comes with that. u said that love cannot be real unless its b/w a man&a woman-that tells alot about ur GOD;HE must be limited not infinite.

Feminism is the theory, lesbianism is the practice; when you socialize women to act and think like men from birth, this is the result... it was Feminism's goal.

I have to say you are very accurate.. I see completly what this video is saying. I have a niece who's 13 that recently told us she likes females. And like you say in the video it took me by surprise cuz she would always go on about jacob from twilight ya know.. We not saying lesbianism is bad by any means, It's just getting kinda scary because as a man I feel like females aint gone need men nomore. That's actually my biggest fear, I feel a woman can get a chick before i can right now... Scary...

i really just dont get that whole idealism "i dont understand it and i cant relate to it therefore i dont like it, its negative and therefore you cant do it" that makes no logical sense what so ever. If a female is emotional and physically attatracted to another female then she has ever right to have that if thats what makes her happy. If they are happy together then shouldnt that be positive enough. why would u wanna tell someone they cant be with who they are happy with, thats messed up

What's positive is being open, honest, and comfortable with yourself about who you are and the type of person you are happy being with instead of being with a man just to make ppl happy and be considered "normal", the only ones who think of it as a negative thing are those folks who dont understand it and want to change it just so they can feel comfortable, how could anyone possibly tell someone they are wrong for who THEY wanna be with and it has absolutely nothin to do with them

    SK,

PLEASE... by all means... TRY to give a valid, solid explanation

as to how there could POSSIBLY EVER be ANYTHING POSITIVE

about being a homo-fem. I would LOVE to hear this.

you are associating being a lesbian with all negative aspects, so the reason you cant/wont ever be able to understand this is because you arent open to the idea of it as a being a positive thing, you cant identify with these feelings as being genuine, so while to some it may be a "trend" as you so aptly put it, its not about that for all, you automatically assume just because a female wants another that she is automatically anti-men, which isnt tru either, hence the term bisexual, not bicurious

This word "prey" you use as if these women do not have a mind on their own to choose on their own, the main reasons you touched on as to why females may make the decision to be lesbian are all because of outside influences, but you never once considered the possibility that some females choose to be lesbian not because they hate/fear men not because they are insecure in how they look not because its the "thing to do" not because someone "preyed" on them but because they met a female they love
