No Music - No Distracting Narration - Just screaming pistons in full stereo sound

Living Warbirds: Steel Warriors puts you on the tarmac so you can see, hear, and feel the fierce power of these magnificent warbirds: the roar of the engines starting, closeups of the beautifully restored aircraft, takeoffs, multiple flybys, and landings.

From World War I and World War II, to every other major conflict of the 20th century, victory would not have been possible without the most advanced fighting machines of their time. In battles over Europe, African, Asia, and the Pacific, fighter planes like the P-51 Mustang and bombers like the B-29 Superfortress carried and protected our brave men and women. After their missions were complete, most of these warbirds were neglected and abandoned. A few survived, lovingly restored by warbird enthusists around the world. Living Warbirds: Steel Warriors features these historic airplanes in all of their glory, reminding us of the critical roles they played in the greatest wars of our time.

  • I've got over 400 hours PIC in this very aircraft before we sold it to Charlie. I need to go visit it.

  • My Father and his best friend bought a PT 19 in or around '50 and for several years flew it all around the Blue Ridge Mtns. of Va. & N.C..I was a small child then but I remember many many times riding in the back seat in my dads lap. What a fun time I remember from this great airplane. Thanks for this video!!

  • My dad and uncle trained in these. Then went on to B-24s and B17s. Can't complain about the view from this plane!

  • My father bought a PT 19 after the war. Paid 200 dollars. Such an avid pilot. He got his pilot's licenxe before he got his driver's license. We saw one at Oshkosh 2008. Thank you for posting this! He is still alive and will get to see this clip.
