Hi everybody, just to put i straight: Yes "Schlump" is not a german word. It is an old dialect word here in Hamburg for swamp.

A little bit south of Hamburg, there is a area called "Marschland" thats from marsh (land).

I hate to be the schoolmaster ;-).

I guess there is a Missverständnis (haha!).

The Word "Schlurfen" describes a rather Slow kind of Walking."Schlump" is not a German Word, just a Name.

So: "Schlurf", not "Schlump".

PS: There`s an old TV-show , called "Die Schlümpfe". :)
