i saw in another documentary of yours in which the french charged the heights and then feinted a retreat and then the enemy pursued them leaving protection the heights.

@shanghaibenny2 Is that what happened here? It looks more to me like Napolean set the Russians up in a situation where a particular strategy would suggest itself to them, and then applied the perfect counter-strategy. He didn't "attack" anywhere to draw forces away from the center - the Russians did that themselves.

Didn't he hope Wellington would reinforce the farmhouse, thus drawing more forces where he wanted them?

@Trajedya84 what exactly do you mean , what charge the French?

Napoleon tried this trick at Waterloo, too. Attacking Wellington's left flank in order to draw forces away from the center. But the Duke held firm 'refusing to run around like a wet hen.'

@shanghaib Not exactly Waterloo was a different battle plan a rushed one, Napoleon didnt considered the British much of an opposition and he wasnt quite wrong , he have beaten wellington at Waterloo, Wellington basicly did NOTHING at Waterloo he just sat behind the hill and he was praying to god for the Prussians in order to save him most of the fighting at waterloo was done by German allies those were those who hold the line for long enough in order for Blucher to Arrive with 50.000 Prussians
