One thing Russia does best is celebrate.

Also i would not say Russia picked up much from Byzantine Empire, mostly it was Greek part of Byzantine empire or just Greece. Russia/Ukraine learned and obtain much from Greek culture and wise versa. Russian church transcends Greek Orthodoxy with in it's design. Of course Russia has it's own culture yet one must give Credit where credit is do.

In Russia passed a law restricting the use of fireworks.

And the fireworks in Moscow only run of the special places. And Moscow is 50 km in diameter ... Red Square is just one of those places.
