I am responsible for everything you see in this movie except the background plate (The man sitting at the table), and modeling of the helmet and gloves.. ( I did animate them however). The background was actually recreated in 3-d with a DigiMatte (Matte Painting) and filmed using a 3d recreation of the camera used to film the live action sequence in a process known as 3-d Matchmoving. Anyways, I passed my compositing art test! (Needed a 90, got a 94). Fairly self explanatory, First part is the final composition from Nuke, Second part is the color corrected version (from a style frame I was assigned) edited in Apple Color, The third and fourth are preproduction stills I created using Photoshop and Maya, the fifth and sixth (with all the green triangles and little waving men) is scene tracking data created in SynthEyes, the seventh and eighth scenes are wireframe playblasts of my scene reconstruction from Maya, and the Final Scene is my Apple Color corrected version of my final composite again. Oh, and I had to lower the quality to get it into a format that Youtube would accept, but It should still be in HD. Programs used : SynthEyes, Maya, Nuke, Final Cut Pro, Apple Color, Quicktime

  • hey christopher mcallister, where is kevin mcallister??

  • @aghaanantyab gee thats a joke i haven't heard in about... 10 years...

  • great work, nice renders. and color.

    face tracking was very nice:

if u can add all the tiny details in shadow in jacket, jacket wrinkle at helmet edge etc it will be double awesome.

    good luck

  • @ASNNetwork Thankyou, critiques are always welcome.. Let's just hope I find some time to implement them lol

  • Maybe the background needs more tracking job. Did you try an spherical environment?. I know, its a pain in the ass. Anyway its a good job.

  • @lukassstyyy good suggestions, and I thank you for them.. I have learned quite a bit since I made this (and indeed still have much, much more to learn) For the time being i have far too much to do to correct the (many) problems with this piece, but I am glad that people are still watching, and even more glad to be getting critiques
