A pretty little chanson by Clement Janequin (c. 1485 - 1558). There was too much text to give the translation from the French in the video, so here it is.
This month of May, my green jacket,
This month of May, I will put on.
I will get up early
This lovely, lovely month of May;
One jump, two jumps,
Three jumps in the street I'll make
To see if I can see my love.
I'll tell him to take my jacket off;
As he takes it off I'll kiss him.
I think cotte means skirt/dress
