So simple yet elegant. Finally a demonstration on technique, instead of just blindly leading you in lol.

@chadc0613 Small pan of water on the lower rack will help keep it from cracking

@chadc0613 A cheesecake can crack for a few reasons. Try using a water bath while baking, which means placing your baking pan in another pan that contains water, and/or baking at a lower heat. If you use a spring form pan and plan to do the water bath make sure to wrap your pan with tin foil as spring forms will leak.

@hksupersi that's how men usually respond to women's questions.

@BettYBooP211000 Well, I've made these for 20 years, but this oven is new to me since I"ve only lived in the house since June. So what you are saying makes sense.

@chadc0613 i think it has to do with the oven. the first time i made a cheesecake i followed the instructions exactly leaving it at 375 F for 30 min and it came out cracked. the second time i set the oven at 350 F for 30 min and it came out somewhat cracked. and the last one i baked i set the oven at 325 F for 30 min and it came out perfect! it depends on the ovens because there not all the same. i often use mine so it gets hot quiclkly. you'll get the hang of it with practice. hope this helped.

@chadc0613 hmmm, ok. I will try that, thank you xDarkErrorx you sound like a real genius on this. :)

@chadc0613 o a tip on the cracking is the heat is 2 high in the oven or to cool it will cause a crack your best bet is to look for recipes that u back for 20 to 30 mins and let it cool inside of the oven for 2-3 hours
I bake these and sometimes get a crack in it. What causes this, how can I avoid it? My normal procedure is to top the whole cake with a rich ganache---which most people think was the intended outcome. Still, I'd like to know what causes it and what to do to prevent it.

@chadc0613 this pie is unbaked, a raw vegan version. sorry I don't do baked cheesecakes.

Great job but actually you had the swirls in a perfect pattern the first time and they came out just as you intended; the second time it started looking cluttered

@Beatwize6 I agree, I was sort of showing it for the camera.
