the film braveheart is anti-english, and is a typical mel gibson/hollywood fairy tail attempt to tell history. It even makes up facts (Wallace was killed years before the queen gave birth so it couldn't have been his).
It deals with the American view of the world about "fighting for freedom", but the Socts who fought for Wallace had no freedom even when they won - they were peasants in a feudal system. Even at Culloden, men were forced to fight and die for their master's desires.

This "bit of fun" filming was put up here almost 4 years ago and made about 8 or 9 years ago. And still it gets attention. it's great to see. Thanks all.

What would've happened if there was a single person or group of like minded individuals who had the strength, mental acuity and will power to convince the clans to put aside their feuds and unite? What a powerful force could be raised. An entire nation of warriors, not just some clans or some lords marching against the invader.
