More than 1,000 brave souls, including Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) athletes and members of law enforcement , jumped into the frigid waters of the Delaware River and were "freezing for a reason" on January 29th. Hundreds more were there to watch as individuals and teams spent a few moments in the cold to warm the hearts of thousands. The Third Annual Eastern Polar Bear Plunge, held at Neshaminy State Park, raised nearly $150,000 benefitting more than 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes. Celebrity "plungers" Danny Bonaduce from 94WYSP and NBC 10 Meterologist Dave Warren were also in attendance.
