I am originally from Connecticut. Born in New York. I am married to the greatest human being I know and I have three amazing children

Why I am a Mormon
My sister is Mormon and I was invited to join her for a Church meeting. I remember a man talking from the pulpit, and he was encouraging the other men to "love their wife as Jesus loves the church". He began to talk about eternal families and how eveything that the church teaches us is to protect and nuture those relationships. I chose to follow this faith because if the man that I chose to marry some day was being taught those concepts, I would be grateful and happy. I am happy.

  • I'm Cynthia and I'm an ex mormon. I know have logic and reason in my life. Yes folks I'm an atheist. No bad feeling towards mormons. Well no worse than I have for religion in general.

  • @cynballard well I have found it best personally to follow Christ's teachings and have no bad feelings towards anyone because we are all brothers and sisters in the world community and really we are all in this together. What I love about the teachings of Christ is how it helps us to love all unconditionally this is the biggest reason I am thankful for it and yet there are so many others. I wish you the best this year.

  • @pangea7777 So, u've never had a bad feeling towards another human. Thats amazing. How do i subscribe to your religion?

  • @cynballard if you actually understood our teachings and beliefs you would know exactly of what I speak. Clearly we are all human and have emotion and ups and downs as in all human relationships, my point was that even as Christ taught we aspire to love all humankind unconditionally whether we agree with them politically or philosophically or not, I always work on this. I suggest you learn more by going to lds dot org and speaking to the full-time missionaries with no expectations whatsoever.

  • mormons are not christians,,,,no cross on church,,,,look what they believe on youtube,,they are the muslims of america,,,so filled with lies,,,i would love to see them on judgement day stand before JESUS and tell him they are mormons,,,,,there is no one called mormon,,its something made up by a sick man,,joseph smith,,a con artist

  • @thorsnose interesting you would compare us to Muslims. There are some great people who are Muslims who are good, honest, respectful people. I would prefer a good Muslim over a hypocritical Christian in many ways. We actually all base our religion from the same beginnings just as Judaism also stems from the same tree. There are con artists everywhere who is to say you are not one. If Joseph was sick then I want more of his sickness because this church does so much good for all people worldwide.

  • I lvoe how these videos show who Mormons really are; Normal people with hopes, dreams, failures and successes, who believe in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There are a lot of misconceptions about us, but let me put a major one straight. We DO believe in Jesus Christ, who is the Lord and savior of ALL people on the earth. We believe all he did in the bible is true. We believe he is the very same Christ in the Book of Mormon and of our church today. We DON'T worship Joseph Smith.

  • @sammys70 that is exactly what the gospel of Christ is about and I find it ironic how anyone can get it so confused and unrecognizeable as you can see by those who clearly have lost that sense of value and direction. In the end it is Christ only who will judge and I thank God the Father for that after all, I believe He will judge us less harshly than we will judge ourselves.

  • I really enjoyed listening to her story. The true beauty of real believers in jesus is their is no discrimination, and love for all people. No religion is perfect, but its whats inside our hearts is what is important in followers of christ.
