He used SMILE (Super metroid Intergrated Level Editor) Silly kitty's. Yes it's a hack more like an edit so not so much hack. The rom works on any emulator. How? I'm working on my own redesign. Google Super Metroid SMILE. Also to use it you need a rom That Says. JU. Because that's not a pal version and that's the one compatible with SMILE.
