In my opinion, no not one of his best. his the record Lonely Mountain has songs which are universes better than this. BUT if you like this, then maybe this is one of his best songs.

Excellent! 'I'd Ask' is one of his best songs and it's wonderful for someone who can't make it to Northern Europe to see this.
