  • what's funny is the trendy complaint of everyone that expects him to walk them through with tabs. If you know your music theory you can learn from what him "slow", sure learning the book stuff may not seem fun, but do you think virtuoso asks each other for tabs? I've never seen yngwie say he's better than anyone, seems like some are just jealous. And before you call me a fanboy he's not even my favorite guitarists to listen to lol, but I respect him as any other

  • No A-Minor arpeggio. To him it might be but it's not. It's rather G# Minor. He's a half step tuned down. Thumb this one up if you like because people might not know that.

  • a minor my ass :P

  • Technically, it makes more sense to call it Ab minor because he is tuning his guitar FLAT and when you see Ab on paper it makes more sense because you think of the fact that it would not normally be A but it's tuned a half step down. It wasn't originally G minor but tuned a half step up. Just something for the sake of convenience.

  • @GodlessShredder Yngwie plays tuned a half step down. Which doesn't make it an A-minor arpeggio anymore. The shape is, but you need to tune your guitar a half step down in order for it to actually become an A-minor positioned arpeggio.

  • @PowerofJohras It's technically G# minor, but it's actually "theoretically correct" to refer to everything as though you were in E standard tuning, assuming you aren't using drop D or some other open tuning. It makes communicating exactly what you're playing that much easier.

  • @sufficientcompany Yes, the shape is. But a shape means nothing. Since he is tuned down a half step, it's no longer A-minor, it's actually G# minor. Just, to notify people out there that they EITHER need to tune down the guitar or play it in G# minor.

  • @PowerofJohras the shape is A minor.

  • He shows us his secrets!

  • quit complaining about it being not slow... if you're a musician at all you should be able to figure that out....

  • lol that is well slow stop being pussies and practise more
