The character he played on "Alf" wasn't a good fit for the show (Anne Meara was a better cast addition - a snarky mother in law with whom Alf could trade verbal barbs)but that's OK.

Isn't a few snips of tape the same way Lucille Ball and Eva Gabor were said to use to look better on camera. the tape used to pull back the skin was hidden under the wig.

One of my favorite TV actors of the eighties. I absolutely loved this guy. I d not see much of him now but would love to check him out in something new in the future. I just ordered seasons one and two of Too Close For Comfort so I can get my Jim J fix whenever I feel like it. Even better, maybe he will do a play in Boston someday and I will see him in person.
