** PART1 **
Here I play TMNT for the NES. This is one of my favourite NES games, and I really enjoy beating it.

Here I do not intend to do a speed run, however, I found myself going through the levels pretty fast and agressive, receiving as little damage as possible and using all the turtles and their weapons at the right time.

The "aggressive" part of the name is because I dont wait for the monsters to attack me, instead I go after them :)

Please sit back and Enjoy this wonderful game contrary do what other reviewers say (because they just dont know how to play it :)

*** About these levels ***
The 1st sewer of them all can be passed without going into it. I guess im just used to do it. For a time attack run, you can skip it hehe. The first map is very straightforward, just follow the sewer progression.

The boss is Rocky. you can get him with Don, face to face. just don't jump, he will jump himself and avoid you. you just keep hitting him forward, and when he is above you, you crouch and hit down, the rear of the bow will hit his rear :)

As you can see, Leo is very agile, and with one slash facing up, you have enough range to hit to the other side, so you cover 270 degrees of hit (watch 0:37). Raph gets butterflies on the go. Don gets everything. Mike is useless as his weapon is too short and too weak. Keep him for sacrifice or for weapons.

In the first level you can see the dynamics on how to kill enemies. The ninja star guy, requires two shots with leo. As you see, I hit them once, and after they stop blinking or jump, I hit them again. The chainsaw guy required several hits, and the scroll-sleepy guy also. You can go with Don all the way, but I wanted to show it's possible with Leo too. :)

    No problem, your video is not to pretend anything except showing how to beat the game with some cool tricks. ^^

    Yes. in the beginning its difficult to record the video with the in-game recorder because the game changes the "states" of the enemies and obstacles as you pause it, so when you reload the game to reproduce the recorded video, it will be "offset", e.g, replaying your recording might give you a box of Ninja-Stars that you didnt get at gameplay, and from that point, all your actions with your weapon will be done with Stars, which don't have up-attack, so your recording is damaged.

    Also, Shredder is so badass that when he points at you on TV, his hand sticks out of the screen. How do you mess with that?

  • People make the water level out to be a lot harder than it really is. You still did much better than I did, though. I usually have to switch to a third Turtle before it's over.

    Yes the weapons change powers, but it is usually with 2 squares left of energy.

  • supposedly Mike's weapon damage doubles when he's below half health, making his weapon in that situation as strong as donatello's. He still lacks the range of either Leo on Donatello, though. It's been so long since I played this game I don't remember if the above is true or not.
