Back on 17th February 2010, I drove down to Brighton with expectations of a wonderful evening out, wallowing in the beauty that is Beth Nielsen Chapman. Well, we got that OK but also an added bonus, because Marcus Hummon, a Nashville Singer/Songwriter in his own right, of great repute in learned circles, kicked off proceedings with an opening set, mainly showcasing songs he has put together on an excellent album, titled ROSANNA. I captured a video of Marcus, accompanied by Beth & Maartin Allcock, singing his quite amazingly brilliant song "Bless The Broken Road" which was lovely, but on his new album, Marcus sings his famous song with a depth & sincerity that brings me to tears! For this video, I have Marcus singing his "Studio" version as I drive down our Broken Road in our Garden Valley, in deepest Sussex. At one spot a Spring flows out of the road, then as we get to the Climax of the Song, where the Broken Road leads you straight to your Love, a Lorry blocked my way & I had to turn back, which sums up my life perfectly at present. (LOL)
I hope that you enjoy this song & video as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.
