woman strips for police to avoid arrest for stealing beef jerky

STONY POINT (WABC) -- A Stony Point man is accused of luring an Sears employee to his residence and then attacking him.

The Stony Point Police Department arrested 61-year-old Daniel Adler after receiving a call about a fight in progress on October 7.

The investigation revealed that Adler was upset with being called by Sears Home Improvement telemarketers, and he reportedly scheduled an appointment to advise them to place him on the do not call list.

Police say when the victim arrived, Adler cut up his identification card and then punched him in the face.


When police tried to go to the home of a woman accused of stealing beef jerky and a lighter from a local convenience store, she came up with her best option: Just get naked. Apparently she thought police couldn't arrest her if her clothes weren't on. Yep, that makes sense.

Police in Sheboygan came to the home of Julia E. Laack, 36, but she refused to come to the door. She started screaming at her three children in the house, blaming them for the incident. When police entered the home, she starting taking her clothes off in front of her children, claiming they couldn't arrest her if she was naked.

They tried to arrest her anyway and she kicked one cop in the crotch, spit in the face of another. But it didn't stop there. The woman decided to moon officers once she was in the back of the squad car. That'll show 'em.

All this for a lighter and beef jerky? Impressive to say the least.
