This instructional video will tell you how to make your first map for Counter-Strike: Source.

If you can only see the wire-frame of brushes or solid colour instead of texture in the camera view your camera is in the wrong mode. Click on the word 'camera' in the top left of the camera view and select '3D Shaded Textured Polygons' from the menu.

Don't remember who it was that posted one of these before that I used but it was nice & helped me make some nice maps. Being I haven't played the game in forever or even opened the editor I bet I couldn't make one without this video so it is going to get added to my play lists. Thanks m8 for a nice how to video!

Can I use building model instead of a bsp building?
Pros? Cons?
I think it is a very bad idea to use models for buildings...
Okay for beds, furniture, other accessories, decorations, I think.
