Had a long drive home, found a straight and open road. As you see, tires wanted to spin all the ay through 3rd and about 30mph.

Car had plenty left.... looks like it stayed around 9-10lbs the whole time.

THIS IS STOCK!

  • a 1.75 60 in a CTS-V? On stock tires? WOW is all I can say. If you did that...... just WOW. I thought a 2.0 in those things on street tires was impressive.

  • @GordonStudent Stock tires, around 30lb of pressure. GREAT track prep is all you need.

I just got the slip, here is how it reads:

    1.77 60" --- 7.79 1/8 @ 91mph ---- 1/4 12.1 @ 113mph

  • @boychiks Well man that is awesome! I just have the V3 kit on my 08' JGC SRT8 , everything else is untouched and my 60's are only 1.8

Mind you I have only run twice with no prep but under 1.8 and rwd? Nice job man. So did you get this to replace the Jeep? Man I love mine, not sure if I could give it up lol but a CTS-V is pretty sweet. Impressive car!

  • @GordonStudent So you are still running the good years? That is your problem. Most v3 guys can cut into the mid 1.6 range on good track prep, but should be able to consistently hit 1.7. Believe me, I was surprised myself. That run was in drive and the traction control was off. Just mashed it off the line, rather than building the boost up.

Still have the jeep, which I just had it at the track the other day (check out my other video) It tends to pull a high 1.6/low 1.7 but it has seen 1.56.

  • struggled all the way to 45 but god damn it took off after that.

  • @JoeCfb That's what happens with bald tires...LOL

I had it at the track when it was new and it hooked up nicely, I think it cut a 1.75 60"

  • my dad had 22,000$ chevy hhr ss which had 285 hp with the gm performance kit and its top speed without even trying was 145. The car beat an audi rs4 in a drag race.

  • Nice video, Johnny. :)

  • @boychiks No way man, I'm not running the good year hockey pucks lol. I have 315/35 275/40 Autturo AZ800's and they are decent, but I have only run twice ever. That's with no custom tune and just a bolt on Vortech V3 Jeep kit. I don't even have exhaust. Both runs were 1.8 60 ft.'s, 12.5 and 12.6 runs at 2200 elevation. I just mashed the gas with traction control off. No Caddies here get those 60's that I've seen, most rwd monsters (Z06's, Shelby's etc.) struggle to beat 2.0 and usually 2.2 or so

  • shit, what did u run at the track? low 12's?
