  • Some people think captivity is wrong. While it may not be ideal, it is helping preserve the species. Beautiful tiger.

  • I see you are educated on the subject. Thank you for the input.

The species is actually thriving better in captivity than in the wild, with around 5000 in the USA alone. Sadly that is likely a higher number than what exists in the wild.

I have seen bored cats. They live wild in Africa, and are called male lions. Also known as flat cats, since you can watch for hours, and they won't move.

  • poor animal must be so bored, how about a pool?

  • Why would you think he is poor (What would he do with money any way?)? Why would you think he doesn't have a pool (He does.)? He doesn't look bored here, does he?

  • No he looks quite happy, I don't know what I was talking about. I must have been sniffing glue

  • Try not to do that, it may clog your nose. Caesar is a happy tiger, and he recieves good care. He does have a sad history, and due to that it is highly unlikely he will ever get the chance to breed. This facility would rather help save sub-species from going extinct through careful breeding. Caesar is of mixed lineage.

  • I wish this video ran just a bit longer. Wold have been fun to see what happens!

  • happy tiger!

so did the camera survive Caesar's inspection?? the way he came at it fast makes me wonder!! i wouldn't want him coming at me like that!!

  • Caeser is my favorite cat at EFBC. He supervises me as I pull weeds away from his enclosure! The new enclosure is progressing along-most likely will be finished by the summer. I am saddened by the pain he feels in his foot-and pray that it lessens as time goes by.

  • Git dat box, Caesar! What a happy face!

How is the new tiger facility coming along? I need to get up there for a visit, so many new faces!
