  • true grit, peace

  • The intro was funny if it weren't true. A rookie at 37yrs old! If you love the game of golf can you imagine being told you can't play until you reach a certain age or status? They say Bobby Jones wasn't racist, if that's the case, why was it so hard for him to give Charlie Sifford an invite to the Masters? Personally, I don't think he was racist. I think he had racist people around him that influenced his decisions.

  • Wonderful.

  • Charile your are truly a great human being. Thank you so much for just being you.

  • i am old enough to remember sifford and elder kick ass. sifford breaking the racial barrier in golf was even harder than robinson in baseball. golf was not only a whites only sport at the professional level but also an elitist sport. back then the rich were more racist than any other segment of society. to see charles awarded such an honor is mindblowing!

  • incredible - a hustler he called him.... - I love this video.

  • Mr Sifford, (excuse me, Dr. Sifford...) I remember your personally. Thank you for always standing strong. I remember you when I play at Rancho, or at Chester Washington in L.A., I cherish the conversation we had at Wilshire Country Club during the Senior SBC tourney years ago. Remember my dad Plato, and Earl Henderson, and others around the West Adams area? You are still a strong inspiration to me. I hope folks in the U.S. study their history and remember you well.

    Thank you very much.

  • Congratulations to one of America's true heroes. It has been a pleasure to call you my friend.

  • The Emma Mae Gallery in Washington, DC, USA loves you Charlie
