Mother Daughter Air Race Classic Team

The Air Race Classic represents 81 years of women in flight and traces its roots to Amelia Earhart in 1929. ARC is the only all-women Transcontinental air race flying today. The 2010 air race will start in Fort Myers FL on June 22 and end at Frederick City MD on June 25. This is a wonderful video of 2 charming representatives for the Air Race Classic. Mom entered the 1960 race w/ only 200 hrs between her & copilot. I want to fly the Air Race Classic and am trying to find concrete information re: real costs and how you find a mechanically sound rental airplane. I own a Luscombe 8F and a Luscombe 11A - neither is stock. This video was very encouraging. My next stop will be to our Tullahoma Airport Authority to see if I can con them into hosting a stop next year.
